Carol Lowe, left, presents a check for $10,000 for preservation
to Mechelle Lawrence-Adams, Executive Director of the Mission

The Guild was founded in March 1993 and has grown steadily to a
current membership of approximately 65 women. Our goals, as stated
in our by-laws, are to assist in the preservation of the historical
and cultural heritage of the Mission and promote this landmark for
future generations by fundraising and volunteering for special activities
at the Mission. We meet monthly (third Wednesday of the month) September
through June. However, our support of the Mission is ongoing year
round.
Our primary focus for the past year has been raising funds for
the publication of a custom cookbook which, in addition to delicious
recipes, will feature in the sidebars delightful tidbits of history
and culture of the Mission. We are convinced that sales of this
book will provide a continuous and reliable source of funds for
Mission preservation for years to come. As of this date, we have
entered into a contract for the design of the book and look forward
to delivery of the books in September, 2006. If you would like to
pre-purchase a book to be delivered, Contact: Pat March at 949-234-1322
We have worked diligently this past year researching the project,
raising funds, collecting and testing recipes, holding bake sales
and tasting parties, and scouring the history books and archives
for interesting stories to include in the book. The job is not over
yet and we welcome anyone to our ranks who has an interest in participating
in this project or other fundraising projects held throughout the
year.
Please refer to Membership Descriptions. There are two levels
of membership, Active and Supportive click her for the Membership
